The Callan-01 robot was built as a prototype by the AURA team in late 2024. It was designed to address the need for a rigid yet agile agricultural system capable of performing standard farming practices while efficiently navigating through tall cereal crops. Equipped with 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering, Callan-01 offers a highly manoeuvrable platform suited for complex field conditions. Its removable 3-point hitch allows for quick and easy attachment of various tools, enhancing operational versatility. Additionally, Callan-01 is lightweight, minimizing soil compaction and helping preserve soil health during field operations.

The ultimate goal for the Callan robot is to create a capable assistant for cereal farmers, equipped to perform crop analysis and essential farming tasks like seeding and weeding
